MADRASAH ROHINGYA AL-I'TISAM, SHAMLAPUR, BANGLADESH
Al-I’tisam realises that educating the young are key to break the stranglehold of poverty and social illness. Beginning in January 2016, we plan to start building madrasah that can accommodate religious classes and academic subjects such Mathematics and languages for about 150 to 200 children in two sessions. The madrasah will also double up as a musolla (praying hall) and community centre to hold activities that can help to improve the quality of living there. The project will be developed with the cooperation of the local community. The development fund for the project will be provided by al-I’tisam through Al-I’tisam Children Education Fund. We plan to complete each project within 2 months. Al-I’tisam is also obligated to provide teachers and pay their salaries until the community have enough strength to run the madrasah themselves.
